Intelligence Analysis

We provide on-site Intelligence Services to US Army Central (USARCENT), a U.S. Army component to US Central Command (USCENTCOM), supporting USARCENT's mission to preserve stability and shape the Middle East region to the benefit of the Unites States. We organize, analyze, and evaluate intelligence, develop objectives and strategies, conduct research, identify intelligence gaps, and create product variants at differing classification levels. Our team coordinates with outside agencies and experts to bolster analysis and integrate results and conclusions into comprehensive written reports.

Our analysts developed the Warning Intelligence Running Estimate "W.I.R.E" Dashboard, an interactive USARCENT staff tool incorporating their warning model framework assessing levels of stability and normalcy. The W.I.R.E Dashboard enables sharing of disparate forms of intelligence and information across the staff to identify and forecast emerging events on a regional scale allowing risk mitigation, threat recognition, and leveraging of opportunities.

Data Analytics

To strengthen its anti-terrorism capabilities and meet its critical Secure Flight mission, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) leverages its Performance Engineering (PE) Branch to deliver custom analytics using machine learning, complex statistical modeling, and custom tool development. Our team adapted and integrated new technologies and methods to improve no-fly and Known or Suspected Terorist (KST) passenger identification and reduce the response time when processing passenger records by airlines or by TSA agents. These advancements quickly identify national security risks while processing ever-increasing volumes and velocity of data.

Our team delivers accurate, reliable, and efficient models and analyses to improve decision-making and security outcomes. With an increased efficacy of technology, the workload on human analysts is reduced while maintaining the detection accuracy and ensuring no missed KST’s occur. The solution improves accessibility and utility of tools and data to perform more value-added and sophisticated analyses. Our expert’s computational linguistics capability, and regional and domain knowledge helped significantly improve entity resolution.

Our efforts let PE take on transformational projects as a leader in Secure Flight; strengthened their customer focus to provide more data science and analytics services to other parts of TSA; and shortened lead-time in responding to Congressional inquiries or security events.

IT Support, Maintenance and Training

The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network's (FinCEN) mission is to safeguard the financial system from illicit use and combat money laundering and promote national security through the collection, analysis, and dissemination of financial intelligence and strategic use of financial authorities. FinCEN wanted to establish a modern Service Desk Operation as part of a state-of-the-art, highly automated platform supporting a variety of internal and external end-users.  Their requirement was to have a team which was well-versed and possessed direct knowledge in end-user support of systems, applications and services.

Team Derivative was able to flawlessly take over FinCEN’s existing support desk operations and provide FinCEN with the expertise they desired and the efficiency they need to succeed in their mission.  Our team of highly skilled professionals focus on rapid resolution of issues, continuous process improvement, and end user feature enhancement and enablement.

We firmly believe in continuous improvement and actively seek ways to enhance FinCEN's operational processes, ensuring that they are always at the forefront of innovation. We also strive to empower FinCEN's end users by offering end user feature enhancement and enablement services which allows them to leverage technology to its full potential, ultimately leading to increased efficiency and user satisfaction.
